With this so many benefits of exercising, it is only normal that we stay motivated to working out "every time and anytime" so that we too can enjoy this benefits.

How to stay motivated:

1. KNOW HOW MUCH EXERCISES YOU SHOULD BE DOING
So many times, people who just began to exercise try to do too much, too quickly and this cause them to lose motivation and stop. Going slow at first and gradually increasing the amount and intensity of activity can help one achieve that fitness level one aims for.

To get the benefits of exercising, each week adults should aim to do:
- at least two and a half hours of moderate intensity exercise over a week in short periods of 10 minutes or more.

OR
- an hour and 15 minutes of vigorous intensity activity.

OR
- a equal mix of moderate and vigorous intensity activity.

AND
- at least twice weekly activities that build up muscle strength such as weight lifting, or exercises using body weights like push-ups and sit-ups.

NB:
Moderate intensity means
- breathing is faster;
- heart rate is faster;
- you feel warmer.

While Vigorous intensity means
- breathing is much deeper and more rapid;
- heart rate increases much more.

2. MAKE EXERCISING FUN
Exercising can be much more fun than being some dreadful drilling process, by spicing up your routine with the following:

- challenging yourself;
- making dancing an exercise;
- listening to music while working out;
- watching TV from your exercise bike instead of your easy chair;
- getting exercising partners like family members, friends or spouse;
- taking a break from the gym and going for a walk, hike or swim;
- avoiding overtraining;
- rewarding small success;
- using fitness apps and lastly;
- learning new exercises.

3. Employing a personal trainer if possible.

Exercising can be of more benefit to our health than we can imagine, so let's START today to enjoy this benefits by understanding that we can ACHIEVE whatever GOAL we set if we put our MINDS to it.

On this note, I say start exercising TODAY!

Stay informed! Stay healthy! Have a healthy day!
